Murcia -
The historic city of Murcia, a short journey away by car or public transport, lies within a plain enclosed between a rugged mountain ranges. It provides extensive access to many restaurants, bars, stunning architecture and retail outlets. For a flavour of this region’s culture and history, Murcia offers a wealth of museums, monuments, a beautiful cathedral and some interesting 19th century architecture. If you enjoy football, Real Murcia is now in the Premier League, playing the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid, so you could catch a game at their new impressive stadium
The Beaches and Water Sports -
Soft sandy beaches 20 minutes away, coupled with the calm waters of the Mar Menor make it ideal both for children and for the extensive water sports that are on offer here. These include jet skiing, wind surfing, sailing, fishing, snorkelling, and scuba diving.
Recommended beaches:
San Pedro/Lo Pagan - therapeutic waters, mud flats and nature reserve

Santiago de la Ribera - closest beach fringed by a palm-lined promenade that runs the length of the beach.
- Catch a ferry to Tomaes Maestre Marina on the La Manga Strip
Los Alcazares - The town has no less than four Blue Flag beaches. These are kept immaculately clean and have excellent facilities for families and children.
Relax in one of the small beachside bars or try some tapas at the Hotel Encarnacion with it's picturesque inner courtyard
